Dr. M. Behzad Zafar, board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, joined Medical Clinic of Houston, LLP in June 2015. He attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2009, and his Gastroenterology Fellowship in 2013. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the Texas Medical Association (TMA).
“I chose a career in Gastroenterology because it provides me with a specialty where I can interact with and help my patients in various ways … screening for colon cancer, removal of colon polyps, control of acid reflux, work-up of chronic abdominal pain, treatment of hepatitis (B or C), diagnosis & management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis), endoscopic procedures & therapies, and clinical management of multiple other gastroenterological disease processes. Having done all my post-graduate training in Houston’s Texas Medical Center, I have grown to love this city, its people and its culture. I hope that I continue to have the opportunity to serve my patients here to the best of my ability and expertise.”
