Primary Care Doctor

Maybe you have a new ache, a persistent cough, a vague sense that something isn’t quite right. Or maybe you’re just looking to stay on top of your health, prevent issues before they start, and maintain that vibrant feeling. Your MCH general internal medicine doctor, as your dedicated primary care provider (PCP), is your most valuable ally.

While your MCH PCP (primary care doctor), also known as an internist, is absolutely equipped to provide acute care for serious illnesses and chronic conditions, their role extends far beyond just reacting to problems.

One of the most crucial functions of your PCP / internist is his/her ability to help facilitate the diagnosis of your symptoms. They are the first line of defense, the medical detective who can piece together your unique health puzzle. Instead of trying to self-diagnose through endless internet searches, a visit to your primary care doctor allows for a thorough examination, a detailed discussion of your history, and often, the ordering of appropriate tests, many of which are conveniently offered and resulted on site. This comprehensive approach leads to a much more accurate and timely diagnosis, setting you on the right path to recovery.
