Dr. Hong’s focus is her patients’ general well-being with emphasis on preventive medicine offering annual physical exams, 3-D mammograms, bone density, cardiac and cancer screening as necessary.   Dr. Willa Hong is a dedicated internist who serves her home town of Houston, TX, where she sees adult patients (ages 17 ) at MCH, and has privileges at Houston Methodist Hospital. As a Primary Care Physician “PCP” her patient-centered philosophy is based on patient education, so together she and her patients can make shared medical decisions. She strives to avoid unnecessary medications and to provide optimal health care screenings during various stages of life. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Houston where she was awarded multiple honors, Dr. Hong obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX.  She then completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston Texas.

She is a strong advocate for an individualized approach to patient care and utilizes the latest, most effective and research-backed medical treatments combined with tried and true old fashioned medicine. Dr. Hong is a member of professional organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She is trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions from simple to complex. Her patients visit her for the treatment of many conditions to include arthritis, vertigo, sinusitis, asthma, and pneumonia.  She’s skilled in the management of multiple & complicated diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, as well as acute symptoms.  Patients can have immediate access to on-site procedures & testing.  Convenient in-room blood testing and an extensive range of fully accredited diagnostics within our beautiful Clinic ensure exceptional same day service and quality care for our patients. Dr. Hong joined MCH in August 2026.
