Comprehensive Cardiology Diagnostic Tests

Our clinic offers a variety of outpatient diagnostic tests to assess your heart health. These tests are designed to provide detailed information about the function and structure of your cardiovascular system, allowing for timely intervention and care. Some of the primary diagnostic tests we offer include:

Stress Testing

Stress testing is performed to assess the heart’s function under physical exertion. This test combines with EKG may be conducted using:

  • Exercise treadmill testing
  • Pharmacologic stress testing (for patients unable to exercise)

PET-CT Scan: A Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET-CT) scan combines two imaging techniques, PET and CT, to provide detailed images of both the structure and function of organs and tissues in the body.

  • PET-CT scans are used for a variety of purposes, including:
    • Diagnosing heart disease: PET-CT scans can detect areas of reduced blood flow to the heart.
    • Detecting cancer: PET-CT scans are highly sensitive at detecting small tumors and metastases (spread of cancer).
    • Monitoring cancer treatment: PET-CT scans can track how well cancer treatments are working.
    • Planning cancer surgery and radiation therapy: PET-CT scans can provide precise information about the location and size of tumors, which helps surgeons and radiation oncologists plan the best possible treatment.

Additional Cardiac Diagnostic Studies

In addition to PET-CT scans and stress testing, we also provide several other cardiac diagnostic studies to monitor and evaluate heart health:

  • Echocardiograms: Ultrasound imaging of the heart to assess its structure and function.
  • Carotid Artery Doppler: An ultrasound test to evaluate blood flow in the carotid arteries.
  • Holter and Event Monitors: Portable devices to continuously monitor heart rhythms.
  • Lower Extremity Venous Doppler: An ultrasound test to evaluate blood flow in the veins of the legs.
  • Resting EKGs: A test to measure the electrical activity of your heart.

Additional Diagnostic Tests

Beyond cardiology-specific diagnostics, we also offer a range of other non-invasive diagnostic tests, including:

  • Spirometry (Pulmonary Function Testing): Measures lung function to assess conditions such as asthma and COPD.
  • Audiometry: Tests for hearing function.
  • Vision Testing: Screening for vision problems, including color blindness.

These tests are performed by certified and licensed professionals using the latest technologies to ensure accurate results and patient care.
