After seven years of full spectrum OB-GYN care in private practice, Dr. Jenni L. (Gillespie) Groves is now limiting her practice to clinic-based gynecology. Dr. Groves is a board-certified OB-GYN who cares for adult women, ages 17+ in Houston, Texas.  While she has found much joy in delivering babies, she is very excited to focus her career exclusively on gynecology & women’s health. She provides comprehensive care of women from menarche to menopause and beyond. In addition to routine preventive care, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of women’s health care issues including contraception, hormone replacement therapy and alternatives to hormone therapy. She will provide, if needed, endometrial biopsies, IUD placements & removals, nexplanon placements & removals, colposcopy, in-office biopsies, and in-office incision & drainage procedures during patient appointments.

Dr. Groves wants her patients to know that she is excited about the opportunity to focus her practice to improving the lives of women. As a function of this focus, patients will enjoy the benefits of increased dedicated time for discussions and counseling regarding their gynecological concerns which are often complex and multifactorial. She approaches healthcare from an evidence based, whole person & holistic perspective. She believes in the importance of a team-approach where patients and their care team work together towards health and wellness goals and treatment plans.

Dr. Groves received her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Cell & Molecular Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Missouri State University. She went on the receive her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at McGovern Medical School – University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. She has her Board Certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and began her practice at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas. She is a member of The Menopause Society, as well as other medical societies. Dr. Groves as been recognized with various websites’ awards including Healthgrades & Vitals.

Jenni Groves, D.O. joined MCH April 2025. In her free time, she enjoys living an active lifestyle including hiking, snow skiing, running, traveling, & cooking. She can’t spend enough time outdoors and enjoys spending time with family & friends. She is originally from Missouri, but considers Houston her home. She has served on international mission trips and is active in her church. Dr. Groves is looks forward to meeting all your gynecological needs.
