Nursing Supervisor
The Nursing Supervisor will coordinate daily and clinical/staff activities and the delivery of patient care services. The tasks and responsibilites consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serves at a liaison between physicians, patients, and staff.
- Coordinates staffing of all physician offices.
- Monitors performance and efficiency of nursing staff.
- Assists the Director of Nursing.
- Plans and organizes orientation and in-service training for staff members.
- Participates in guidance and educational programs.
- Acts as resource person for nursing policies and procedures.
- Serves as a clinical resource to physician offices and ancillary departments for problem solving.
- Assists in recruitment of nursing staff.
- Manages various personal functions, work assignments, coaching plans and disciplinary actions.
- Must be a role model for customer service and maintaining a professional image.
- Co-chair or membership on code team committee, new products committee, safety committee, education committee and other committees as assigned.
Background Requirements:
Education, Certificates, Experience, and Knowledge
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferrred.
- Minimum five years clinical practice.
- Leadership and supervisory experienced required.
- Experience in the hospital setting, preferred.
- Current BCLS.
- Current ACLS.
