Laboratory Assistant

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing pre-analytical and certain post-analytical aspects of specimen testing. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Receiving samples into the clinical laboratory for testing and/or transport.
• Prepare samples for testing in the clinical laboratory.
• Communicating results to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Following established procedures for collecting and processing biological specimens, including plating of microbiological cultures.
• Understanding and communicating sample requirements.
•  All other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager and Supervisor.

This position works Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm.
